From February 19 to May 15, 2020, the Espace VERRE Gallery will present Myth, Metaphor and Pâte de Verre – a retrospective exhibition featuring the works of glass artist Donald Robertson, who for more than forty years has transformed pâte de verre into a poetic realm. Rooted in myth, history, nature, and memory, his works, invite viewers to slow down, to contemplate, and to feel. Within his sculptures’ delicateness, luminosity, and at times mystery ̶there are revelations of the silent forces of the world: flowing water, eroding forms, and objects becoming symbols. Alongside his artistic practice, Donald Robertson has taught at Espace VERRE for nearly four decades, contributing to the emergence of many generations of glass artists.
