Last month, ten Espace VERRE students spent two days in Corning, NY, where they explored the Corning Museum of Glass and several galleries. They delved into 3,500 years of glass history, explored the Innovation Center dedicated to glass science and technology, attended glassblowing demonstrations by artist-in-residence Manolo Aguilera, and toured the Studio’s brand-new facilities. An added highlight was a presentation by the Rakow Research Library archivists, which houses the largest archive on the history of glassmaking in the world!
