Springtime is slowly budding at Espace VERRE. This is a true indication that the students are all working thoroughly to achieve their goals. In fact, the studios are busier than a beehive. To share this effervescence, Espace VERRE’s gallery-boutique is showcasing a selection of brightly coloured works that will brighten any living space. Among the many works, you will find bunnies, eggs and flowers that are all ready to offer on Easter. We are open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the last Sunday of each month, this upcoming March 27 from noon to 5 p.m.*

Lance Friedman is visiting Espace VERRE

Lance Friedman, a glass artist that works and lives in Chicago, USA, will soon be visiting Montréal. His sculptural works that are created with the blown, hot sculpted glass techniques, as well as other materials and techniques, are shown and collected in many museums and private collections. While regularly teaching in the USA and abroad, Lance will be giving a workshop at Espace Verre (from March 21 to 25) to professional glass artists. His visit includes a lecture on his work which is a not-to-miss occasion to meet him.

The lecture will be given (in English) on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 7h p.m. at Espace VERRE.

LOVE

Montserrat Duran Muntadas and Jean-Simon Trottier are taking advantage of their time in Europe to participate in an exhibition organized by the European Glass Festival in Wroclaw Poland until April 10, 2016. Currently, they are completing a residency at the North Lands Creative Glass in Lybster, Scotland, where they are honing their hot glass work techniques. We wish them a very ”guid” sojourn.
