Each year, Galerie Espace VERRE presents the graduating exhibition of students from the Techniques de métiers d’art – verre program. The 2025 edition, titled Échos Chromatiques, highlights the individual practices of the 34th cohort through works that reflect the diversity of techniques, ideas, and artistic visions developed over the course of their training.
Among the graduates of this 34th cohort, Chloé Vaillant explores the physical relationship between body and material. She approaches blown glass as an extension of movement, seeking a sensory closeness with the material—both for herself and for the viewer.
Her pieces, inspired by utilitarian forms, suggest functionality without necessarily fulfilling it. They invite observation, touch, and at times, playfulness, where colour, texture, and the materiality of
glass become ways of connecting with the object. Through this approach, Chloé questions the role of objects in our daily lives, blurring the line between function and contemplation.
